My Pergo Flooring Buckling Up

I recently had pergo laminate flooring fitted.
My pergo flooring buckling up. But this area is in front of the stove maybe a foot away. I don t use any heat. Then in my kitchen the flooring has started to buckle warp and now has started to seep moisture. Because fiberboard swells when it gets wet a wet laminate board pushes against the one next to it.
My question relates to pergo flooring in my apartment the flooring covers living room dining area and small kitchen. During installation run a vapor barrier under the vinyl plank flooring to help prevent buckling from moisture. Laminate floors offer easy installation but can be tough to fix if they bubble and buckle. Once the heat was i stalled my pergo floors started to change buckle and separate my flood adjuster is telling me that is not from the flood however the water was so high that at its highest point when i opened my front or back door it was level with the floor i was standing on and stayed that way for 12 hours before the tide went out.
A few months later i noticed the floor had buckled between two planks in my living room and that some pieces had movement at the joints. If water seeps up under the flooring from an extremely moist concrete subfloor the adhesive can be weakened causing buckling in the floors. Recently i ve noticed 3 or 4 bubbles in the kitchen area that area is only about 3 4. Although most cases of too much moisture or humidity can be solved before buckling occurs it does happen.
Pergo laminate flooring boards have a fiberboard core and although it s more stable than wood pergo floors can develop some of the defects of hardwood floors including buckling and crowning. The higher quality the material the less likely it is to buckle due to moisture. If the floor was installed properly there is an expansion gap around the perimeter than can absorb some of the movement but if the gap isn t there or if the baseboards are nailed to the floor instead of the wall the floor can t expand and swollen edges have no place to go but up.
