Well i want to see what the natural finish on the white oak floors will look like. One of the most challenging decisions to make is what color to stain your white oak hardwood floor or simply leave it au natural with a clear finish. The white oak flooring is very cool looking with lots of crazy grain patterns. This worked great u tests but in actual application the floor finished did not wipe it off enough and got the finishing done quickly with a water based floor finish loba.
Red oak and white oak floors absorb stain more uniformly but be aware that there is a difference between the density of earlywood or springwood and latewood of these species. Have the old and new floor sanded at the same time if you want.
