Omega Seamaster Ceramic Review

I chose to review this reference 210 30 42 20 01 001 steel on steel model with the black ceramic dial and bezel because in my opinion is represents the original core look of the what the seamaster 300m is to me.
Omega seamaster ceramic review. Originally released in 1993 when jean claude biver was at omega the seamaster 300m sought to be a competitive alternative to the rolex submariner that didn t immediately. However that being said it s hard to argue that the most iconic seatmater ever produced was the 1993 bond seamaster with the iconic wave dial. The inserts are made from white enamel yes surprisingly for a tool watch as enamel usually refers to high end elegant watches with the same objective in mind. From soccer timers to world timers to dive watches to simple everyday watches such as the aqua terra line omega even dabbled in gold titanium ceramic as we see here today.
The bezel of this new omega seamaster diver 300m ceramic and titanium is as it is in the whole collection made of ceramic. In all honesty a rolex submariner could have done the trick as well but at the time the difference in price was substantial as it is today again in fact and my heart was closer to omega already at that time as well due to the family affair i have with the brand from biel. So all of this to say i am extremely impressed by the omega seamster 300m in ceramic. An omega seamaster 300m was the perfect candidate.
Omega always does a good job but it s easy to see here why this model has remained a classic and has also remained largely unchanged in design for years. We still feel though that the planet ocean is pretty much the pick of the bunch when it comes to the seamaster range. Omega introduced its newest seamaster diver 300m larger and in new materials ceramic and titanium rendering it more scratch resistant and lighter in weight. In this feature from the watchtime archives we delve into the depths of the new timepiece and its master chronometer movement.
